A lot of training in operating various equipment, care of plants and managing disease, health and safety and supervising staff.

What is great about your job?

Benchmark have a motivational management team with a good work ethic. I am asked about changes within the business and my opinion counts. The company is willing to invest in me and I feel valued. Some days are very busy and at times this is stressful, but I enjoy sorting it all out and making sure that Benchmark is delivering a good service to clients.

What training do you receive in your role?

Most of the training is on the job, learning about the rota, the clients and the way the operations run.

What skills are required to do your job?

An ability to communicate with people at all levels within the organisation and in client organisations. Time management and the ability to show initiative is important and a sense of humour is essential!

I love the great work ethic at Benchmark and the team is so friendly! We all help each other out and I am doing something that I really enjoy. The friendly team and work ethic. Work ethics is related to a persons attitude and feelings about work. Good work ethics include being honest, self-motivated, positive and hard-working.

I had already gained qualifications and experience when I joined the company. Training is on the job, learning about clients needs and the high standard of professional work that Benchmark provide.

Being able to work independently and as part of a team. In a small team it is always necessary to be flexible and do what is required to deliver the the client.

I enjoy working as part of the friendly professional team who work hard but in a great environment. Everybody helps each other. The staff who work here are all great and the management team are good leaders. It is a great place to work.

Gardener Team Leader Position - Maidstone Professional and experienced grounds maintenance team leader gardener required for one of our valued clients in the Maidstone area. The role is full time and will be maintaining the extremely high quality standards on a static commercial office site. Delivery of excellent customer service and ensuring compliance with external accreditation including environmental, health & safety and systems accreditations. PA1/PA6 essential as well as proven experience and a passion for excellence. Relevant qualification in gardening or horticulture and a valid health and safety certificate desirable but not essential.
