I am an ESOL tutor delivering English Language to Speakers of Other Languages. A typical day for me would normally start at 9 o'clock each morning when my learners start to attend and ten minutes later I start my teaching and they begin their learning journey. We have two cohorts a day, entry 1 in the morning and entry 2 in the afternoon. The work the learners do everyday is a combination of all English language skills helping them develop their Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing and Literacy skills. They also have some maths input as well as life in the UK and English values. This is done via different activities and sometimes 1-2-1 sessions.

I thoroughly enjoy talking to them and allowing them to express themselves and talk proudly about who they are and where they come from. Most have not been in education before and now they need to gain the confidence that allows them integrate into the community.
